At Kingston’s local CBC affiliate CKWS, he was asked to step out from behind the mic and cover a few shifts in front of the camera and that’s where he got the opportunity to work in TV weather came quite unexpectedly.
Scotland was hooked from the moment he first held the “weather clicker.” He attended Mississippi State University’s renowned Operational Meteorology program after moving to Peterborough to become CHEX Television’s full-time weather specialist.
He got the opportunity to cover a few shifts on CBC News Network presenting the national forecast while working in Peterborough. After completing his meteorology studies he joined the network’s national morning show full-time.
