In 2004 Juliette was honored with the APTRA “Excellence in Spot News Coverage” for her reports on the anchor desk during the Oakland Super Bowl Riots. Juliette was motivated to write a children’s book after she emceed the 100th birthday celebration of the Centennial Light. It is the world’s longest-burning lightbulb and it is based at Fire Station 6 in Livermore, California. The book is named “The Little Light Shines Bright.” Juliette wrote a second book named”The Train of Lights”, regarding an annual holiday train event in Sunol, California. In 2012, Juliette wrote a third book, this one concerning the Special Olympics called, “I am Special Because I Smile”. Juliette is involved in many social organizations including the Alisa Ann Ruch Annual Burn Relay to support burn survivors in the Bay area, the American Red Cross, and the California Special Olympics.
