His crew was presented the Excellence in Aviation Award from the FAA in 2002. John is pleased to report that the FAA always uses those models today. While in California, he also served as a consultant for a power firm that provides electricity & gas to approximately 16 million individuals. His obligations included temperature, snow, wind, and extreme weather forecasting, as well as supplying long-term electricity generation forecasts for suggested wind farms.
